A Natasha Spencer Wedding - K&M 10.08.19

Summer 2019 saw some beautiful events and a real highlight was Katie & Mark’s stunning stretch tent wedding. Katie & Mark and I found each other through another planner which I will be forever grateful for, I felt we were a match made in heaven.

The couple lived in New Zealand at the time but wanted to come back to the UK to get married at home in Katie’s parents garden. The kind of wedding I live for! Living on the other side of the world made it hard for Katie & Mark to make and finalise decisions, we spend a lot of time together looking at different ideas, creating mock ups and going through the finer details to make sure everything was perfect.

Both Katie and Mark love the outdoors and they wanted to reflect this is their wedding, we opted for an open sided stretch tent to offer a canopy from the sun, wind or rain but without any matting so the couple and their guests still felt like they were outside with the grass beneath their feet. The tent was styled with rustic wooden tables, tall gold stands that held bold green foliage arrangements with sharing platters in between, the food had been cooked on an outdoor BBQ adding to the outdoors vibe. Drinks were served from the rum bar that the couple made themselves with spray painted pineapples and coconuts to decorate..

When I asked Katie and Mark what they wanted from their wedding day, they said simply a fun and relaxed day where they could party with their friends. A DJ supported by a percussionist and saxophonist gave the party that ‘apres ski’ vibe. Suffice to say, the dance floor was full all night and Katie and Mark had the party they were after.
